JENAWI | Bandung Barat — Amid increasingly complex social dynamics and diversity, the role of community organizations (ormas) has become more strategic in maintaining religious harmony. With this awareness, the National Unity and Political Agency (Bakesbangpol) of West Bandung Regency held a socialization program on the empowerment of religious-based organizations on Tuesday (September 23, 2025).
The event, hosted at the Tangkuban Perahu Hall of the West Java Education Quality Assurance Center (BBPMP) in Batujajar, was attended by more than 40 religious organizations, including MUKI, Fatayat NU, Pemuda Muhammadiyah, PERSIS, GP Ansor, Muhammadiyah, and LDII.
Head of Bakesbangpol West Bandung, Weda Wardiman, emphasized that community organizations are strategic partners of the government in building a harmonious and inclusive society.
“Collaboration with local governments must be strengthened, not only in the context of religion but also in the broader scope of social development,” he stated.
Meanwhile, Chairman of the LDII Regional Leadership Council (DPD) of West Bandung, Elly Lukmansyah, welcomed the initiative, noting that such forums strengthen inter-organizational communication while supporting government programs.
“LDII is ready to contribute to maintaining religious harmony. Activities like this are essential to be held regularly so that coordination becomes more solid,” he said.
The event concluded with an interactive discussion between participants and Bakesbangpol representatives, resulting in several follow-up action plans to further empower community organizations in West Bandung.
